A couple of weeks ago, I was browsing Amazon and saw this bright and beautiful book called The Wellbeing Journal in aid of Mind, the mental health charity, and as I read more I thought this is too good to leave in the internet. So I ordered myself a copy then thought, actually, this would be the most perfect collaboration with my friend, Ruth from Ruth In Revolt.

Ruth only arrived on our screens earlier this year but has very quickly become one of my favourite bloggers and tweeters. She is generally an all round awesome person and is super friendly and supportive too. Ruth’s blog is such a happy, positive space with helpful posts on mental health, blogging tips, and the fantastic series Celebrate The Wins which highlights others wonderful achievements.

Ruth is very open and honest about her mental health journey and is always finding ways to support and encourage others. On Saturday 18th August at 12:00 midnight, Ruth will be hosting a 24 hour chat over on Twitter to raise money for Mind. There will be a question every 15 minutes covering different topics and you can hop in and out as you please. The idea is to bring people together, raise money for a fantastic cause and have fun. You can read more here and hope to see you there!

You can follow Ruth on social media: Instagram / Twitter

The Wellbeing Journal is developed in partnership with Mind and has tons and tons of creative activities designed to inspire. The journal reads: We all deserve a sense of wellbeing, and this little book aims to help you find yours. It’s a place for you to gain strength, insight, practice getting to know yourself a little better, express yourself a little freer and shake hands with your creative side.

Make sure you head over to Ruth’s blog to see her Wellbeing Journal too!

The journal is so bright and colourful and is full of helpful ways to stay calm and relaxed when life gets a bit hectic. The exercises are simple but effective and are designed to help you discover how creativity and reflection can have a positive, powerful influence on your life.

Whether you enjoy colouring, drawing, doodling or writing there is space for every activity in the journal.

I love that you are free to express yourself on the blank pages and let your creative side shine.

Not only are there spaces for creativity, there are also pages of positive and inspirational quotes.

Sometimes life can get so chaotic we can actually forget what we enjoy doing. The journal includes space to think about your favourite things and remind yourself to do more of what makes you happy.

Every single page is bursting with bright and beautiful colours.

The book says: Colouring is a simple way to relax and take time for yourself. It can be a helpful practice if you find it hard to switch off as it allows the mind to slow down and become absorbed without strain.

It actually works. Shaun was feeling tense and anxious a few hours before his driving lesson the other day so I suggested having a go at colouring in. He agreed and said he gradually forgot about his nerves and just focused on the activity. He went to his lesson feeling much more calm and at ease.

He also created some pretty flowers in the process. Win, win.

Taking a break from technology is such a beneficial thing to do.

The journal is packed full of handy hints and tips from organizing your time, checking your tech, taking a mindful walk, giving yourself a break, understanding your thoughts and feelings and identifying your stress triggers. It’s such a handy companion and the perfect size to pop into your bag too.

I have spent many hours using this book so far and it is one of my favourite things to do to wind down in the evening. Mind believe that no-one should have to face a mental health problem alone and you can always call their infoline on 0300 123 3393 or text 86463 if you need someone to listen, give support and advice and fight your corner.

This was such an enjoyable collab to do and I hope it has raised awareness for such an important charity. Make sure you head over to Ruth’s blog to see her Wellbeing Journal too and don’t forget to pop over to Ruth’s Twitter on Saturday for the 24 Hour Chat for Mind.

I’ve been super lucky recently when it comes to winning giveaways. It was only last month that I wrote about the tea-goodies I won in Em’s Giveaway and now I have even more awesome prizes to blog about. Maybe I should go and put a lottery ticket on or something and make the most of this winning streak. Today’s giveaway goodies are from the lovely Tori from JustTheBeginning-x.

Tori is a blogger and illustrator who lives right by the sea just on the outskirts of Brighton. Tori says: My wonderful husband gifted me a graphics tablet for Christmas 2017 and after a few silly drawings I began selling greeting cards on other websites. In June 2018 I decided that I wanted everything together and JustTheBeginning-x became home to my shop. I really hope you enjoy your time here!

You can follow Tori on Twitter / Instagram.

In the giveaway I won two cute cards, a badge and a mirror. I loved these designs so much I immediately went to Tori’s shop and picked up a couple more postcards, stickers and an extra badge.

The I’d Rather Be Blogging sticker is my absolute fave. You can buy your own blogging sticker for just £1.80 which is a blogging-bargain. And it’s so true. There is nothing else I’d rather be doing right now.

As well as blogging stickers, this cute unicorn sticker is another adorable item. Tori has so many awesome stickers in her shop which are both cute and clever. I really love the You Know How To Make Everything Butter and the Chubby Hamster sticker.

I picked up 4 brilliant postcards. I always appreciate a good pun and these are great: All You Need Is ICECREAM, DOUGHNUT ever give up, GNOME more regrets and I think you’re FAB. I’ve just spotted the I Don’t Give A FLOCK Flamingo Postcard and need to add this one to my collection asap.

I can’t wait to send someone this birthday card: Have A FLAMINGOod Birthday. Flamingos and puns, what a perfect combination.

I love this Sleepy Fox card as it can be used for any occasion – birthdays, thank yous, just a note to say… Sleepy Fox has got you covered. Tori’s greeting cards are fun and fabulous, I especially love You Will Always Have A Pizza My Heart and A TOAST To The Happy Couple with toasts in wedding outfits.

I think everything here is FAB. In the giveaway, a flowery pocket mirror was included which is gorgeous. You can check out the other designs here

My badge collection is forever growing and now I have two more cute additions to add to it: I’d Rather Be Blogging and this Cute Zebra badge

It’s always a lovely touch when you receive a personalized note within your goodies, even cuter that it’s decorated with hearts and stars. Thanks Tori!

If you like these goodies, make sure you check out Tori’s shop. You can also follow JustTheBeginning-x on Twitter / Instagram to keep up with the latest creations, updates and support a small biz too. Which designs are your favourite? Are you a pun lover like me? Let me know in the comments. I’d love to hear from you!
