10 Ideas For Your Bullet Journal

Ahhh! This week has been crazy busy for me and I have barely had time for social media, let alone updating my blog. I am currently doing a group project at uni which involves numerous team meetings and presentations that have been taking up a lot my energy *head exploding emoji*. Despite the busyness, I have enjoyed keeping my new bullet journal up to date and have found it a useful way to stay organised. I thought this week I would share with you a few ideas if you are looking for bullet journal inspiration.

The cool thing about bullet journalling is that you can start simple and add different ideas and lists as the weeks go on. Each new week is a chance to explore your creativity. All you need is a blank notebook and you can begin. I am using the awesome personalized notebook I received from Tangible Stationery Co.

 To Do List

This is a handy way to ensure you do not forget anything important each week. Sometimes we do not know exactly when we will be able to complete a task so this list can give you the freedom to decide if you have time to fit it in on the day.

Weekly goals

These can be anything from blogging goals, fitness goals, spending goals, study/work goals, social media goals, anything and everything you want to aim towards.

Exercise Tracker

An exercise tracker is so motivational and colouring in a square is very rewarding after the workout is complete. This week I am tracking yoga, swimming, gym and walking. Each week you have the flexibility to add or remove different activities.

Healthy Habits

It always good to ensure you are getting enough exercise, but other habits such as sleep, drinking water and relaxation time are important to monitor too.

Meal Planner

Using a bullet journal to plan ahead and decide what you are eating everyday is a great way to ensure you are following a balanced diet. It’s also an idea to track alcohol intake if you want to cut down.

Blog and social media stats

Keeping a log of blogging and social media stats is a cool way to see how you are doing online. You could also include the amount of time you spend on social media and the frequency in which you post if that is something you want to analyse.

Books, films and TV

Listing books, films and TV shows is a fantastic reminder to schedule in daily relaxation time and make sure you don’t miss your favourite episodes!

Birthdays and anniversaries

Jotting down all the important dates is a great way to make sure you do not forget anything and means you can plan ahead when it comes to buying cards and gifts.

Gratitude list

Writing a daily gratitude list is thought to increase levels of positivity and improve well-being. It can also help you to notice and appreciate all the good things in life.

Favourite moments

This is the perfect way to remember the best bits of the week and nice to reminisce on at a later date.

Do you have a bullet journal or have you written a post on bullet journaling? If so, please share your links in the comments – I’d love to see other ideas!

Aw, your BuJo is so pretty and colourful! I started mine in February (and wrote a post 😁) and I am finding it so helpful for blog planning and ideas. Although I use it as a scrapbook too, it’s nowhere near as colourful as yours. I love your idea of incorporating favourite moments, that’s a fab tip, I’m going to start doing this from now on! Xx

Loved your bullet journal. You have decorated it beautifully and inside it is so well organized in your beautiful handwriting. I am not at all confidant that I will be able to keep it that neat and clean. But want to have a journal where I can jot down things I need to do. I have a rough note book though. 🙂

    • March 9, 2018 / 6:43 am

Aw thanks so much for your lovely comment 💖. It’s definitely a fun way to stay organised. You should give it a try, there is so much inspiration on Pinterest for different ways to be creative with it 😍💕 xx

I love your weekly spread! I originally hounded Pinterest for weeks and started a bullet journal in October last year but disheartened myself with it because I was trying too many complicated spreads! 😧
I have however started a new one for this year and gone for a more minimal weekly spread and I experiment now and again with my other pages – I’m not a very artsy person but always willing to give it a try! Haha
    Thanks for sharing 🌹 xx

    • March 9, 2018 / 8:21 am

Thank you so much for your lovely comment Laura! 💖 I know what you mean, Pinterest has so many complex and amazing journal layouts, it can be really disheartening at times 🙈. Starting simple is such a great idea! Especially as you can add on as the weeks go by and explore with different styles ☺️. So glad you enjoyed the post 💕😘 xx

Thanks so much for your lovely comment Malorie 💖. I have a regular planner too for the times when I don’t have time to create anything fancy ☺️. It’s nice to have both options 💕 xx

  19. March 9, 2018 / 9:27 pm

I just can’t seem to get to grips with this, my idea of organised is loads of scribbles on a piece of paper that I probably lose. Do you find it takes quite a while to do and create? Because everyone’s looks so pretty and like it took hours!

    • March 10, 2018 / 12:34 pm

He he yes, this took a while! 🙈 I’m not sure I could keep this up every week so I have a regular planner too. I think I’ll do a week here and there when I’m feeling creative. It does take a lot of time and effort, I dunno how people do it 🤣. Thank you for your comment Charlotte 💕 xx

  20. March 9, 2018 / 9:28 pm

You have just made me realise I need a bullet journal in my life!! I love the personalised touch on the front of your journal, I can’t resist personalised stationary and so there’s so many things you can do with a bullet planner I never even considered.

I think I’ve probably mentioned it to you before but I attempted to create a bullet journal at the beginning of the year but I’m not artsy – or patient – so it’s more of a glorified blogging notebook but I have a list of books I’ve read, films I’ve watched, my monthly blogging stats and monthly “nice things” which is always nice to update and keep track of 🙂 xxx

    • March 10, 2018 / 6:53 pm

That’s such a good idea Jenny, a notebook of “nice things” every month sounds so positive 💖. Thank you so much for the lovely comment 😘 xx

    Hello Bexa, (pun not intended)

I’m a writer and a teacher and I have a personal BuJo and one for work. I love it because it helps me stay organised, plus it lets me be creative. It’s been so long (since childhood) that I’ve made drawings and it’s amazingly relaxing. It’s also more fun to track my word count and novels with pen and paper. I’m glad you also love having one. I like your pictures!

    • March 13, 2018 / 9:10 am

He he, gotta love a pun 😍. Yay, that’s great you have two! I’m a newbie to all this but can see how creative and enjoyable it is 😍. Thank you for your lovely comment Morgan 💕😘 xx
