Cheer Up Treats Mental Health Box

If you have been following my blog for more than five minutes, you will know I’m a big fan of the subscription box. Cheer Up Treats is high up on my list of favourites, so when I saw a Mental Health themed box was available, I knew I had to have one. Cheer Up Treats is a wonderful idea created by my lovely friend, Vicki, a lifestyle and positivity blogger who is passionate about supporting small businesses and making people happy. Each box is bursting with surprises, designed to bring a smile and brighten up a day.

I have already received two mystery boxes full of fun, colourful and positive treats (here and here) so I was super excited when my third one arrived. Every box contains a thoughtfully handpicked cute selection of goodies from awesome independent businesses such as notepads & stationary, badges, motivational postcards, enamel pins, wax melts, bath bombs, candles, stickers, sweets, bookmarks and more!

If you want to treat yourself or a friend to a lucky dip bag or mystery box make sure you use the code HIBEXA and get 10% off your order! There are still a few limited edition Mental Health Boxes left too!

As with every box I have received, Vicki puts so much love, care and attention into the presentation of these packages. The minute you open the box, you are greeted with tons of beautiful, bright and colourful gifts to unwrap, all covered in cute little love heart confetti. I couldn’t wait to open my surprises! <3

I’m a huge postcard and Katie Abey fan, so the first surprise was an absolute winner for me. It’s rainbow coloured, it’s motivational and it’s got a cat on it *major heart eyes*. Katie is one of my fave illustrators and creators and is well known for her fun, punny and witty designs. For more Katie goodies, click here.

I also received the fantastic ‘You Should Know You Are Not Alone’ Katie Abey postcard. This would be lovely to send to a friend who is going through a tough time to show you are thinking of them <3

Does anyone else feel like their life is slightly more organised if you have a to-do list nearby? Katie Abey’s Pad of Productivity is one of my favourite designs and funnily enough, I’m coming to the end of my first one. So getting another was a very welcome surprise – now I’ve got no excuses not to be more productive!

I’m such a badge and enamel pin nerd (you should see my ridiculous collection) so getting a new one always makes me v. happy. This Mental Health Warrior badge is designed by Carli from Colour Your Life Club – the home of all things bright, positive and cheerful. A perfect badge to remind yourself how strong you are.

Carli has created a range of brilliant Mental Health Badges, Postcards, Prints and Stickers designed to raise awareness, encourage speech and end the stigma – why not check out the full collection!

Yaaasss! It’s an enamel pin from Punky Pins! I’m always very excited to get a brand new shiny pin, and Punky Pins certainly have some fab designs. You Matter is such an important reminder and you can see that Vicki has put so much thought into finding the most perfect treats to fit in with the mental health theme.

This gorgeous mirror is actually designed by Cheer Up Treats – impressive hey! Is there no end to Vicki’s talents! It’s cute, colourful and positive – guaranteed to bring a smile to your face.

I’ve never heard of a ‘wish bracelet’ before but think it is such a sweet idea! It’s designed by Before Birdie who makes cute handmade gifts. “Tie this bracelet around your wrist, close your eyes and make a wish. When the thread begins to fray, you know your wish is on its way” – so adorable! <3

Also included in the box is a Unicorn Lollypop by Lolly Poppin, an incredibly cute notepad by Drix Productions and Kind Humans Magazine by Beckie Burkill. This is such a brilliant magazine full of real life mental health stories, experiences, tools and ideas, it focuses on kindness and positivity and it’s just a nice feel-good read. Plus, it’s super bright & colourful too! For more info, check out Kind Humans Magazine.

As always, I’m so happy with the selection of awesome treats I received in my Cheer Up Treats box. The first surprise I opened was this super cool and colourful ‘Kind But Badass’ badge by Katie Abey. How freakin’ awesome is this! Katie is actually one of my favourite illustrators and her bright, colourful and vibrant creations pop up all over my blog. If you love funny, punny and witty designs, you will love Katie.

Tattoonicorn by Katie Abey sticker – yaaay for puns and unicorns! <3

Inspire Tealight Candle by Kiss Air Candles: an independent, candle brand created by sisters Louise and Laura, manufacturing soy wax candles infused with strong, fabulous fragrances. This is such a cute candle – it’s pink and it’s inspirational! Check out Kiss Air for tons of different natural, homemade, pretty candles.

I admit I thought this was novelty pink chocolate but it is actually a Pink Wax Melt by Scentual Scents (I’m glad Vicki included a list, haha!). It is described as ‘bergamot, summer rose, peach and strawberry cut with a hint of fresh citrus fruit’ – gorgeous! I can’t wait to fill my home with all the summery fragrances.

You can never have enough stickers to brighten up notebooks, planners, scrapbooks, anything! I love these little adorable Animals In Teacups by The Persnickety Co. – a creative brand dedicated to bringing to the market little, original and quirky gifts that make people happy. And these stickers defo make me happy!

YAAAS! As a self-confessed enamel pin addict, these little things bring me a ridiculous amount of joy. This is the very brilliant cat in fairy lights pin by Punky Pins. This pin reminds me of all my mischievous cats and never fails to put a smile on my face. Why not check out more of my Punky Pins collection here.

The Cloud 9 paperclip is another cute item from The Persnickety Co. It is handmade, it’s happy and it’s perfect for planners, notebooks or even as a bookmark. Life is way more fun when you have pretty paperclips and Persnickety have a delightful range. Click here if you love llamas, unicorns, cats and teacups!

My badge collection is less impressive than my enamel pin collection, although it is now growing thanks to cute little additions like these. These badges are designed by Cheer Up Treats and I think they are really sweet and adorable. I love that Vicki includes her own awesome and unique products in these boxes too.

The Tweet Tweet badge, for lovers of birds… or Twitter?

These postcards are super cool and I was even more impressed when I found out they were designed by Vicki herself (so talented!). I love postcards, especially ones which are motivational, inspirational and full of vibrant colours! These are fantastic and are the perfect pick-me-up when we need a little positivity boost.

Pin them to your wall or why not post them to a friend and bring some happy into their day.

I’m loving all The Persnickety Co. items in this box, until today I had not heard of this cool and quirky shop but it has quickly become a favourite. Say goodbye to boring Post-It’s with these cute and creative sticky notes! Being organised is way more enjoyable with a cheerful koala bear (other wild animals available).

If you didn’t think you could possibly take any more cuteness, wait, there is more! This is the fox notepad by Drix Productions – a must-visit shop for lovers of all things anime, kawaii and awesome. This is perfect for to-do lists, scribbling down random notes or sending someone some happy mail. Yaay! <3

Enamel pins, badges, stationery, postcards, self-care treats and supporting independent businesses are a few of my favourite things. So you can imagine my excitement when I discovered Cheer Up Treats – a new mystery box full of fun, colourful and positive treats to make your day (or somebody else’s) by providing you with the cutest items from small brands. A wonderful idea created by my lovely blogging friend, Vicki.

Vicki has a love of supporting small business and making people happy so Cheer Up Treats combines the two. The kind of things you might expect to see in your box are notepads & stationary, badges, motivational postcards, make up products, wax melts, candles, stickers, mirrors, coasters, bookmarks and sweets. Each box is unique and will contain various items to make you smile. I knew I needed one of these in my life so placed my order and eagerly awaited to see which surprises were included in my box…

Before I even opened my treats the packaging made me smile. Everything is wrapped so beautifully in bright and colourful paper. I received nine mystery items and a cute Shine Bright postcard by Nicoley Designs.

The first treat I unwrapped was this beautiful bath bomb from Bomb Cosmetics. This is the One In A Melon Bath Blaster, a handmade bath time treat which contains pure May Chang and Marjoram essential oils. The cool thing about Bomb Cosmetics is that they are 100% committed to making everything handmade & natural. They are vegan-friendly and cruelty-free, even the glitter is a bio-degradable sparkle! This is such a fab brand, it smells delightful and is the perfect self-care treat for those relaxing evenings.

I am the proud owner of 45 enamel pins so getting a brand new pin always makes my day. This fun and colourful Roller Skate Roll With It pin is by Colour Your Life Club, the home of all things bright, cheerful and positive! I’m loving the cute 80’s, 90’s style design and it goes perfectly with my 80’s Mixtape pin from my Scrapbook Music Memory Jar post. Check out Colour Your Life Club on Twitter / Instagram.

The next treat is a specially made by Cheer Up Treats and it looks amazing! This is the Unicorn Sugar Scrub and contains refined shea butter, apricot oil, lavender essential oil, white sugar and cosmetic mineral micas. I’m really impressed that Vicki made this herself, it looks like something you would buy from a shop. I’m loving the pastel unicorn colours and it’s another perfect item for a relaxing pamper evening.

You can never go wrong with a Yankee Candle, right? This month I have been so lucky and have received 3 Yankee Candles (two gorgeous ones from the lovely Lisa) and now the festive Sparkling Cinnamon. Candles always make a home so warm, cosy and calming, which is exactly what we need at this hectic time of year.

One of my favourite small businesses is Pastel Elixir and Ellis’ awesome goodies appear on my blog often, most recently in this enamel pins post. I was so happy to discover I had another adorable Pastel Elixir item to add to my collection in the form of this cute koala badge. How adorable is this happy little dude!

Stationery is cool, but when it is cactus shaped you have reached a new level of coolness. This cactus sticky memo pad is by Three Little Buhos, a cute Etsy shop which sells everything from washi tape, pens, stickers and planner charms – a stationery lovers dream! Follow Three Little Buhos on Instagram.

Yay for sweets and hot choc!

Vicki even included an adorable Christmas Card with a sweet message and a list of everything that was in my box and where it was from. I thought this was such a lovely touch (and made writing this post so much easier, he he!). So a big thank you to Cheer Up Treats for this awesome box of goodies, it really made me smile. You can tell so much time and thought has gone into selecting the most perfect happy treats!
