Twitter 1K Stationery Giveaway

If you follow me over on Twitter, you may remember that I promised a stationery giveaway once I reached 1K followers. Well, good news, last week it happened (yay!) and as a big thank you I have lots of cute goodies for you! If you have been a long time reader, you may be thinking – ‘huh, I remember your 10K Twitter Giveaway, what happened?!’ Good question – after a longish social media break, I made a return last month but as I had de-activated for too long (four months), I had to restart my account and in the process lost all my followers, all 17K of you *sad face*. Moral of the story: don’t de-activate for longer than 30 days.

But I didn’t want to dwell on the negativity, instead I wanted to turn it into a positive and saw this as the perfect opportunity for an awesome stationery giveaway! (To enter, see full details at the end of the post).

Feast your stationery-loving eyes on this big bundle of joy! For this giveaway, you have the chance to win EVERYTHING in the photo which includes pretty notebooks, colourful stickers, fun badges, motivational postcards, blog planning and organisational goodies, an adorable enamel pin *heart eyes* and much more!

I couldn’t resist adding this sweet little enamel pin into the giveaway – this is the ‘lil chubby unicorn’ by Katnipp. Katnipp is my latest obsession, it’s an adorable kawaii stationery shop which sells the loveliest things! If you love pastel colours and cute characters, Katnipp is the one! (Instagram / Twitter).

When planning this giveaway, Colour Your Life Club was one of the first shops on my list. I’ve been a big fan of Carli and her positive and colourful goodies for a long time, so knew I’d be spoilt for choice. Here is the fab ‘Shh.. Creativity In Progress’ badge, for tons more awesome products, check out Instagram & Twitter.

I couldn’t just pick one, so here is ‘Yes, I Can’ – a bright, fun and motivational badge from Colour Your Life Club! Be sure to check out this fantastic shop for lots of colourful gifts, guaranteed to make people smile!

Carli also included this encouraging I Am Enough affirmation card which was a lovely added touch!

I couldn’t have a stationery giveaway without one of my absolute favourite items… washi tape! I am a self-confessed washi addict, with more washi than uses. On my hunt for cute stationery I discovered these two adorable tapes – Blue Narwhals by Drix Productions and Purple Unicorns by Three Little Buhos.

Drix Productions is the home of kawaii arts and crafts (Twitter / Instagram) every item is handrawn, unique and simply adorable! Three Little Buhos (Instagram) sell cute and quirky stationery to brighten up even the dullest of desks! Click here to see their very impressive collection of fun and colourful washi tapes!

This giveaway includes not one, but TWO super pretty notebooks! I was very kindly gifted this beautiful pink abstract notebook from the lovely Rachael Hope (Twitter / Instagram). You can see more of Rachael’s gorgeous designs here. The Unicorn notebook is from the fabulous Rachel Ellen range! (Twitter / Instagram)

The next two items are perfect for organizing your blogging life. The Pad Of Productivity is the ultimate to-do list – it’s designed by colourful creator Katie Abey (Instagram) who makes the most vibrant, fun things. Dot Creates (Instagram) is the place for bloggers stationery and this Planner can inspire your next blog post!

My favourite motivational blogging stickers ever are again from Dot Creates – perfect for jazzing up diaries, journals & planners! I was also lucky enough to collab with Bowler Bear Designs (Instagram) last year in this post, so knew their Rainbow Sticker Bundle promoting self-care would be 100% awesome for this giveaway.

Don’t Give Up On Yourself – colourful rainbow sticker by Bowler Bear Designs.

Give Yourself Time To Recharge – the perfect reminder to allow time for self-care.

Add some positivity to your day with this fun and colourful ‘Positive Pants’ sticker!

Last but my no means least, here is a cool collection of my favourite postcards currently in Paperchase!

Everything is wrapped and ready to go to the lucky winner! (with a few tasty sweeties thrown in too!)

For a chance to win EVERYTHING in this post, all you need to do is:

1. Follow me on Twitter @hellobexa

2. Retweet my pinned tweet

That’s it! I will pick one winner at random on Monday 23rd March 2020 at 9am. Good luck to everyone who takes part! The giveaway is open WORLDWIDE so absolutely anyone can be in with a chance of winning! <3

A Q&A with digital marketers Georgie & Dörte from Curly Carrot

Georgie & Dörte were guests on a webinar for The Business Club, focusing on how to use Pinterest to drive traffic and get sales. They shared some of their strategy secrets on how to make Pinterest work for creative businesses. Here is a little sneak peek of the type of information available when you join The Business Club… over to you ladies!

Why Pinterest?

If your business has a visual story to tell Pinterest will work for you. Travel, interiors, gardening, wellness, beauty, parenting, arts and crafts, fashion and food are among the most searched for topics on Pinterest. People want to find you and buy from you!

How does Pinterest work?

Pinterest is a visual search engine. It works in the same way as Google. You type what you’re looking for in the search bar and rather than a variety of information to choose from such as text, website links and maps you are given a selection of images that when you click on reach a website page. People use it to plan, discover, be inspired and buy! 90% of Pinners use Pinterest to find ideas on what to buy. Pinterest wants to help them find your products and services and drive traffic to your website or online shop.

Do I need a Pinterest business account?

It’s quick and easy to set up and it’s free so there is no reason not to have one! Learn more about setting up a business account and the advantages hereIf you already have a personal Pinterest account and only want one Pinterest account, then you can convert your personal account to a business account. Also quick and easy! Add your business details and claim your website.

What are Rich Pins?

The official Pinterest definition is ‘Rich Pins provide more context about an idea because they show extra information directly on a Pin. There are four types of rich Pin: app, product, recipe and article.’ Rich pins tell viewers far more about the product and service and encourage them to click through to the landing page. How to add rich pins (you need to be logged into your business account to access this page)

How does Pinterest find you / your product? What are the key terms to use?

Pinners want to save pins that inspire, engage and tell a story! The pin title and description are both important and should be keyword rich but feel natural. Include details like the brand, product and key features or benefits. Add phrases like ‘click to buy’ or ‘learn more’. Include a call to action so that when they reach the landing page (website page) the story is completed.

How do I make my pins get seen by more users?

A beautiful image will capture attention. Use good quality photos of your products that are in focus. Include shots that bring your products or service to life. Show them in context so people can see how they will fit into and enhance their lives. Portrait size vertical images with a 2:3 aspect ratio ie. 600 x 900 pixels are best for visibility on people’s feeds.

Is it good practice to use a scheduling tool like Tailwind?

Focus on consistency over volume. There is no such thing as pinning too much to Pinterest, but Pinterest does prefer consistency to volume of pins. For example, it’s not good practice to pin 20 pins on a Monday then no pins until the following weekend. Post 5 pins per day rather than loads of pins one day, and none the next. The best way to do this is by using a scheduling app. Tailwind is easy to use and an authorised Pinterest partner. You can sign up to Tailwind here.

Should I only be re-pinning content from Pinterest or also content from other websites?

When you’re planning content for your Pinterest boards include great content from others that complement your business ethos. There is no magic ratio of your pins to others. If you are just starting out and don’t have much content, then you will be pinning more content that isn’t your own. When you’re launching a new product or promoting in the run up to Christmas to be included in gift guides then you will be pinning more of your own content.

Should I just be re-pinning things on Pinterest or should I be finding things of interest on the internet to put on Pinterest?

It’s a good idea to mix it up and save pins from other websites, blogs and platforms like Instagram, as well as saving (re-pinning) content from Pinterest. It is also important to create ‘fresh’ pins for your own content linking to specific pages and products on your website.

Mode Prints – Art, Stationery & Gifts

[AD – I was gifted products from Mode Prints in exchange for an honest review]

I absolutely love discovering new and unique places to buy beautiful art and stationery, so when I had the opportunity to team up with Mode Prints, I was like ALL THE YESSS! Excited much! Mode Prints make gorgeous homemade art, personalized gifts, greetings cards and homewares all inspired by Scandinavian and nordic styles. I was very kindly gifted 12 lovely greetings cards of my choice to share with you all.

Mode Prints was founded by Summer, who whilst decorating her first daughters nursery, couldn’t find art that complimented the interior style. She took matters into her own hands and created a new series of art prints for her daughter’s room which is where Mode Prints was born. Very cool, huh? Mode Prints is now a small team of art and stationery fanatics, who have been featured in some incredible magazines and publications in the UK and around the world. You can read more about their inspirational story here.

Not only are the designs fun and funky, Mode Prints also use ethical packaging and recycled materials where possible. Double thumbs up from me! The team create fresh new products each week, so why not fill your socials with pretty prints and adorable art by following over on: Instagram / Twitter / Facebook.

It was hard to choose just 12 cards as there were SO MANY designs I loved. You can check our their vast collection of handmade cards for every occasion here, from birthdays, weddings, holidays and many more! And if you are a stationery and art lover like me, click here and click here and thank me later =)

Abstract Print Greeting Card / Geometric Bold Greeting Card / Geometric Flower Greeting Card

I loved these abstract geometric cards, they caught my eye straight away with their bright, bold and vibrant colours. As they are not designed for a specific occasion, you can get creative and use them for anything you like. Perfect! You never know when you are gonna need to send that last minute thank you card.

Cat In Top Hat Greeting Card

I also couldn’t resist this cat in top hat card, because every cat looks cool in a top hat (and bow tie).

Happy Birthday Retro Cupcake Card / Happy Birthday Pink Doodles Card

Nothing says happy birthday quite like cupcakes and polka dots, right? I’m also automatically attracted to pink, so the second birthday card was easy to choose. You can see the full range of Birthday Cards here.

Pink Christmas Owl Card / Green Christmas Owl Card / Blue Christmas Owl Card

Yes it’s only April, but with this trio of Christmas cards, I’m feeling the most organised, ever. I’m loving the pastel colours and the cute owls and can’t wait to send out these adorable cards when the time comes.

Good Luck Bird Greeting Card

A beautifully illustrated good luck card, you can also send encouragement with the You Got This Card.

Floral Fox Greeting Card

A gorgeous fox with beautiful flowers. Also loving the Welcome To The World Baby Fox Card for new babies.

Happy Mother’s Day Floral Greetings Card

I also picked this pretty Mother’s Day card – see the full collection here and be prepared for next year!

Thank you so much to Summer from Mode Prints for sending me this awesome selection of beautiful cards! I know I’m not going to need to go card shopping for a while with this gorgeous bundle.

Which card is your favourite? Let me know in the comments – I’d love to hear from you!
